The band formed in 2004, the same year they recorded and released their first single called "Inner Messiah". After several concerts nationwide the band opened for the Swedish Melodic Death Metal Dark Tranquillity in 2005 in the city Bogotá.

Then they begin to record their first album. In 2006 after several local gigs, the band starts a nationwide tour called "True Metal Subversion III" and participates in the "International Festival Altavoz" In March 2007 their first album called "Perpetual" is release, under the independent label Storm Blaze Entertainment. In May of the same year PERPETUAL began their South American tour called "Perpetual Dream Tour South America" where they visit seven countries including Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, with more than 40 concerts across the continent.

In early 2008 PERPETUAL was selected to participate in the tribute album to the British band Iron Maiden "The Golden Beast" published by EMI Music, where they recorded the song "The Wicker Man" and it had 3000 copies released. In 2009 they were selected to open the show for the Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames. PERPETUAL has finished to record their second album at Magnetic House Studios, Storm Blaze Entertainment record label again.

The band has released "It's Fucking Sick" (EP) and their new album "States Of Madness" (Full-Length) in 2011.
